It's the first of the month and that means that card swaps were due. This month the theme was red, white and blue. My friends always amaze me at the fantastic cards they make.
Mine first. I saw this on a blog and fell in love with this little bald guy in his speedo:) I love using punches to make things unusual. This was fun to create, but took forever to punch, chalk and attach all the little pieces. Definitely worth it, cause he is so cute!! I wanted to make a bunch to send to everyone and did make a couple extra, but as usual I don't know if I can part with him. My goal this month is to send some cards!!

Maria made a fantastic card with an old set that is a classic. I can't remember the name of the set, but I have always loved it. Her cards always look like they just came out of a card box in a store. They are so crisp and clean. I don't know how she does it.

Melissa made a waterfall card. She watched a tutorial for this card here. What a fun card to play with. You pull on the ribbon and it all unfolds to show a message. I know pictures didn't do it justice. We can tell she loves butterflies and she is gonna love the new butterfly punch! Click here to see all the new Stampin' Up! catalog has to offer.
Vicky made an inspiration card. I love the flower she made out of folded paper. I am still trying to figure that out. Vicky has scheduled a party to show off the new catty on July 9th at 6pm. We will be making some holiday projects. I already have a Christmas card ready and some other ideas in the works. Vicky has stamped a lot, but never been to a party so she is kind of doing things backwards! I hope her party is terrific and lots of fun. She is having it at her house, and I am not sure of the address, so call to get it.
Darla made the God Bless America cards. I do not know how she did this. It is so nice and doesn't even look stamped. Did you cheat on us, girl??? What a perfect time to reflect on how blessed we are to live in America. With all our problems, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. That goes for Texas too!! I know my Okie relatives are reading this blog. They feel the same way:)
Thanks girls for playing. Next month's swap is a found object. Recycle, reuse, go green and use something around your house that you would throw away on a card instead. I can't wait to see what my friends will come up with!
