Technique Tuesday April 21st Labels, Labels, Labels

I thought I had the cutest ideas for a technique. I had seen the idea before and couldn't figure out how to do it. Then I saw someone else's idea and thought, "How EASY!" I designed two cards using labels, yes - office supply labels. Crazy!! Yep! It was one of those days when I couldn't even CASE something decent. I found the cutest card, copied the colors, stamp set, ink...but mine looked like a 4 year old had done it.

On the first card I used 4 office labels. I stamped images from the Seeing Spots set in only orange, yo yo yellow, glorious green, and brilliant blue. I stippled a little more to fill in some white spots. I used an orange flower, apricot pearl brad, and checked orange ribbon as accents.

The second card was bashful blue. I used lavender lace and pretty in pink to stipple the labels. Then I stamped swirls in black after I had applied them to the card. I embellished it with three flowers that I cut with my new cherry blossom embosslit. Embosslits are the coolest things.
The trick I discovered is to pull the waxy paper halfway off the labels and fold it down good. Then line up the edges of the labels where you want, hold them down and pull off the rest of the wax paper.
