The first ever card swap I hosted is over. I had four other participants. I am so amazed at the talent we have in this area. I only wish I had more!!! The theme was spring bling. The rules were a 5 x 7 size with two layers and a bling item. I don't know about the others, but I worked and worked to make a beautiful card. The first card I made was ok. I made five, and when I finished, I decided they were not good enough. So I tried again and made a really cute birthday card. I was pretty settled on this until I made some sympathy cards and fell in love with them. So I changed the colors up and made five more cards. The butterfly card is mine. I used a versa mark stamp and the pastels to color in the butterfly. I love that technique. I also mounted them on extra foam from all the new rubber stamps I got! If you don't know about that trick, ask me. It is a great money saving idea. Hope you enjoy looking.
When I delivered the cards, I felt like Santa, the participants were so excited to see what the others had made. It was fun to watch the excitement on their faces. Even an excited husband at one house!!!
The next swap is a congratulations swap. I am really excited about having another. If you want to be a part of these swaps, comment and I will get back to you. Even if you live out of town, you can participate. I promise you will love it!!
