Technique Tuesday May 12

Today we had a very special guest teacher. She is my friend, and the high school art teacher, and one of the most talented, special people I know. I asked her if she would teach about coloring in line images. She prepared a print out!! She is so professional. We played with coloring with chalks, crayons, markers, blender pens, aqua painters, inks, and prisma pencils. We had so much fun learning about different techniques and getting to try all the different ways to color things in. I know I will still be practicing for a long time. Here is a picture that I colored from my new stamp set. I love how it turned out. I gave it to Ciara so she could use it to make a card for her teacher, Mrs. Matteson who's birthday is Friday. (While we colored and stamped Ciara and Melissa's son, Aric dug for worms and put them in Cocoa's water! How fun!!)

Your card turned out PERFECT! Thanks for the sweet words. They put the worms in the dog's water bowl - argh! Sorry! Aric was so impressed that "a girl" liked worms!! Thanks again for the opportunity! I love you!

Wow, that card looks so awesome!! Okay, so I do need a set of cards for my birthday--but blank ones! I had to buy a cheap box of assorted cards yesterday...not good. Wish I could have been there yesterday. I think I need to take an art class somewhere cuz I never did in highschool. And a grammar/ spelling class too. = ) Guess I better go write in the cards so Ryan can take them to school tomorrow.
I love you!
