Gymnastics Recital

Ciara is not the type of person who likes people to watch her do anything. She hates recitals. Ciara has been in gymnastics since she was three. The first year, she wouldn't even put on the costume or do anything. She just stood there terrified. The next year she broke her finger the first part of May, and couldn't do gymnastics for the rest of the month. She was happy about missing the recital. The next year her gymnastics instructor picked a routine to a song about a rainbow and mentioned rainbow underwear. Ciara liked the song so much and couldn't wait for me to see her do her routine that she bravely performed. Last year the routine was to a High School Musical song and she was thrilled about that and even invited her friend to come and watch. This year she was very excited about receiving her five year trophy. I asked her before the recital if she was scared. She said, "I have been scared before. I will be ok."

The theme was Down in the Barnyard and the girls wore black leotards with red bandannas and back cowboy hats. They did 3 dance routines and showed their skills Forgive me for posting so many pictures and videos, but she is a great gymnast and hey, this is MY blog. The last routine was done to Achy Breaky Heart. I asked her on the way home if she knew who sang Achy Breaky Heart. She said no. I told her it was Hannah Montana's dad. She said, "No wonder it is so good." Don't tell my heart....my achy breaky heart.... Now this song will be stuck in your head for hours!!!
