Pool Card

I couldn't wait any longer to show off this cute card I made for my aunt.  She gave Ciara and I a very special treat this summer and I wanted to show just how much I (we) loved it.  I used gray glitter paper for the cement border of the pool.  I find I am using this glitter paper in my scrapbooking all the time, but not so much in my card making.  I used a printed water paper for the water.  Then I drew black lines to make the tiled area around the pool and sponged in different kinds of inks.  I used punches for my girl.  It is totally cased from a card I saw on splitcoaststampers.com.  If you haven't been to this website, I totally recommend it.  I knew I wanted a pool card, so I went into the search and typed pool cards and it gave me some interesting ideas, plus a cute one.    I just gotta say that there is something for everyone out there!!  Anyway, my aunt has been at "the creek"  this week  as the okies call it cooking for her youth group.  She has done this for a billion years now.  Can you imagine anyone who would spend their vacation doing that???  She should get her card in themail when she gets home.  I wish I could see the look on her face when she opens it!!  She is one amazing woman and I get to go visit her next week.  She always spoils me so much and loves me so much, and I can tell you that after the week I have had, I need me some lovin' and spoilin' by my aunt.

Well Ciara and I are off to eat pancakes and then meet some friends at the pool for a fun day.  I am loving my summer!!
