Father's Day

Ciara has been watching the commercials for Zoosk and one day she said, "Mom can you go on there and get me a daddy?"  I about laughed my head off!!  If only it were that easy.  So there is Bigjoe the single dad with a one year old daughter....seems suspicious.  Then there is hawleydog, the fun loving guy who is legally blind and needs a driver (also on disability) - loser!!  Then there is eddy who only shows pictures of his tatoos - def. my kind of guy (not).  And don't forget about countryboy who is naked standing behind a guitar.  Woohoo, yeah, like I am going to pick one of those losers for your dad, kiddo. 

Ciara has always called my cousin's husband her dad since she was little cause that is what his kids called him.  I guess at first she thought that was his name.  Now we joke about it.  I got to thinking the other day that he is more like a dad to her than some dads are to their kids.  He always treats her with respect.  He is the only one of any of my family who is willing to let her spend more than one night with him and care for her - even though he won't fix her hair!!  He takes her to bible school to learn about Jesus.  He is a great role model for her.  So here's to David!! Hip Hip Hooray!!  and Happy Father's Day!!!  (and I can forget about Bigjoe, hawleydog, eddy, and countryboy!!
