It Is Passing Too Fast

Summer is here, or it was, it just goes so fast. I must admit I have been extremely lazy and have enjoyed so much time laying around in bed, napping and reading. I have now finished reading the Love Comes Softly Series by Janette Oak. Hallmark made several of them into movies, but the movies barely resemble the books. I had read the books a long time ago and wanted to reread them. I have started in on two of her other series. It has been nice to rest and read.

Ciara has been on the computer almost constantly. She loves you tube videos and we have laughed and laughed about the Charlie bit my finger video. She has played with her barbies a lot, even though she says she doesn't like them.

Last week we went to VBS at First Baptist. I taught 3rd graders. It was so exhausting. I just wasn't prepared and had to prepare each night. Ciara had swimming parties twice last week as well as a baseball game (her last). We also had Family night on Wednesday. Cousin Trey came and stayed with us. I was so glad he got to come. He and Ciara got along really well until it was time to leave.

I also had my nephews and step mom come to visit. I love when my step mom comes. She is my best friend and I love having her here. But when she leaves, it is so hard. Why is it that we can do without someone for a year, then we spend a few days with them and the parting is so hard. I cry every time she leaves.

Now we are going to visit my aunt for a week. She will probably be glad when we leave, cause she spoils us rotten. I love visiting her, cause I feel so relaxed there. I need some relaxing after paying bills yesterday. It stressed me a lot. We will swim and make cards and maybe scrapbook a little. I will have my cousin Myah with us also. It will be a great girl time!! Watch out Uncle Jim.
