Distractions

So today all we had to do was get ready for a birthday party. Well, here is how it went:
  • wake up feeling miserable after a horrible night's sleep
  • get my lunch at sonic, while ciara wants something from the white trailer at united (hotdog)
  • only selling snow cones there so go back to sonic
  • line too long at sonic, so go to mcdonalds
  • eat lunch
  • finish birthday present - sewing an apron
  • sew bias tape on first
  • not enough bias tape, so decide to do a decorative trim around edge of bottom
  • material gets jammed up -twice
  • have to unscrew plate to get material out - getting pretty good at that now
  • thread breaks twice
  • tell daughter to make birthday card
  • run out of bobbin, so have to make a new one
  • decide to sew leaves and use yellow buttons for flowers - amazingly works perfect
  • save baby bird from dogs
  • tell daughter again to make birthday card
  • cut hole in apron when cutting off the strings (HUM... is that some kind of psychological thing???)
  • sew deco stitch to cover hole in apron
  • have to cut paper for birthday card
  • tell daughter to get a move on, we are gonna be late
  • deco stitch sews just past hole, so have to do another
  • sew up swim suit pants, so they stay on Ciara's bottom when they get wet
  • tell daughter I am going inside to leave the ac on, I will be back tonight to work on card make-n-take (she turns it off - I discover this four hours later)
  • tell daughter to bring apron and card when she is finished
  • get suitcase out of car
  • find clothes to wear
  • change clothes
  • tell daughter to go back out and get the apron
  • tell daughter to find an envelop for her card and the rock she has decided to give
  • tell daughter to get present ready to go and get swimsuit on
  • listen to daughter scream at me because I downgraded our cable
  • get in car
  • tell daughter to find the other part of the present we bought last night (these cute little real utensils.)
  • tell daughter again to find the other part and put the present in walmart sack
  • finally on the road...
It was a delightful party. Ciara got to swim, slip-n-slide, and hold lots of babies. I got to sit outside in the 107 degree heat and watch her. Then we visited our other friends for a while (that makes it sound like we only have two, but they also live in the same town.) They were remodeling their house and we couldn't even get in the door, so we sat outside and visited with them. Next is when I discover the ac to my shop is off. I was planning to finish my card stuff for tomorrow, but I am in the house blogging instead.

Ciara is furious with me now cause the princess protection program comes on tonight and we don't get disney any more. Someone please tape this for us. She has been crying about tv all day. I know this won't kill her, but I didn't realize how spoiled she was until now. I grounded her to her play room. That'll teach her. Seriously, I am trying my best to pay bills, and somethings had to go. Expensive tv was one of them. My cell phone bill was $200, so it is next. Don't even try to text me, cause I am having that cut off. If pay day will just come soon... I might be able to make it this month:)
