Heart to Heart

I just got home from eating supper with my heart to heart partner!!  It was a lovely meal at our local mexi food place.  I think we will have a great experience together this year.  I almost didn't sign up this year.  I wasn't sure I wanted to invest my time in it again.  I am so glad I did.  My partner has just moved to town, so this was the first time we were able to get together.  Ciara thinks that everyone who calls my home phone is a bill collector, so she hangs up on them.  Last Friday, the phone rang.  Ciara answered it and talked for a while.  I asked her who it was and she said, "It was that ______ again."  I asked why she didn't let me talk to her.  Ciara said, "She's just a bill collector."  I said, "No, that is mommy's new friend."  She had called a few times before and Ciara had hung up on her.  It is sad when your nine year old thinks everyone who calls is a bill collector.  But my new heart to heart partner said she understood!!
