These are some cards I worked on this weekend. I copied the idea from someone else and then changed the color. I used baja breeze from last year's in colors. I just love that color and wish I had bought some more when I had the chance!!
I made the bird card for my sweet friend Ruby who I will get to hang out with this weekend when I drive to Amarillo to take Ciara for an ice skating lesson!! That will be a fun, fun day! I love how the bird turned out on the envelope. I used a sponge and made a stencil out of a scrap paper. I punched the bird shape from the paper punch and then sponged the ink on the envelope.
The bottom card with the flowers and bible verse is one I made for my new Heart to Heart partner. Heart to Heart is a ministry that our church does. It pairs up one generation with another. I am so excited about being a part of this ministry and getting to know someone. I made this card for her and sent it along with some flowers to her on her first day of work at her new job. I hope she liked it. I used my favorite flower stamp ever. It is from the set Time Well Spent. If I only had one flower stamp this would be it. I stamped it in versa mark on patterned paper and embossed it in a copper color. I had really bad luck with the rub-ons this time. I have always had great luck with Stampin' Up! rub-ons. But for some reason, these were not rubbing off so well. Has anyone else had trouble with them?? Thanks for looking.
