It's Official, Summer has Begun....

Yesterday marked the end of the 2009-2010 school year.  It was the hardest year we as a family have ever faced.  There were many hard decisions made, and LOTS of hard work.  I couldn't be prouder of Ciara's accomplishments.  She passed both her reading and math TAKS tests.  She passed all her classes and only had 2 c's this six weeks.  She broke her perfect attendance record by missing three days of school.  (My mom never missed a day of school and I was hoping C would match that!)  Yesterday we celebrated by going to a party that a sweet friend invited us to.  They had pizza and then we swam.  The pool was so cold, but it felt so good.  Then we went to the park to play.  It was a great end to a school year and a grea beginning to the summer.  Today I had a scrapbooking crop planned, but no one is coming.  I am going to just chill today and then get started on my "summer work" next week.  Yes, my summer work will be cleaning this pit of a house.  I also plan on painting a couple of rooms.  I would also like to adjust my daughter's attitude!!  I know, lots of luck with that one!!!  So far I have no other plans for the summer.  We are just loving our freedom!
