Busy, Busy Week

This has been such a busy week.  We went to my dad's last weekend.  Ciara got sick Saturday morning before we left so I took her to the dr.  She was wheezing and coughing.  She got some medicine and we left.  Sunday morning we had to make a run to the hospital.  Grandma Sikes was not breathing well and was dehydrated.  She is 94 years old and has had an amazing life.  She gets sick like this every few months and bounces back every time.  We stayed over until Monday and then came home.

I spent all week working on scrapbooks for the three women who are retiring this year from our school.  One is our wonderful assistant principal, Mary Sanders.  I finished her scrapbook about two hours before her party.  She loved it and I am going to add some more later of the party.  I will post some pictures of my favorite pages later.  I am also working on scrapbooks for Bennie Choate and Joy Terry.  Their parties are next week.  Friday was Mrs. Sanders retirement party.  It was perfect.  There were hundreds of people there, the food was wonderful the presenters all did a fantastic job!!  (I had to stand up there and present her book to her in front of all those people...YIKES!)

Tuesday the Fireflies played.  Ciara did a great job catching balls.  She was all over the field.  Then they played again on Friday and Saturday.  They lost both times, but they tried hard and had a great time.

Thursday was Ciara's Play Day.  This year they added field events and Ciara ran the 100 and 75.  They also played water games and tug of war, which is their favorite.

Friday I found out the amazing news that Ciara passed both her reading and math Taks.  I am so thankful.  She worked really hard this year.  She did hours of homework several nights a week and I saw her learn so much.  I am so thankful for her teacher, Mrs. Donna Long for being patient with her and working so hard with her.  I am so proud of Ciara for all her hard work.

Friday night after the game Ciara went skating.  She also went Saturday night.  The skating rink closes next week for the summer.  She has only one more time to skate this season.  She loves going skating and will do anything to get to go.  My best bribe words are "skating rink".  She will do her chores for that!

Yesterday I had a crop and worked on my card swaps for the wedding card swap.  They are turning out great and I am almost finished.  I also did two more disney pages.  I only have one more park to be finished with that book.  Then I will have a year of catching up to do!!

Today is my day to do what I want.  I am tired and doing laundry, cleaning house, making a couple of cards for a friend, maybe doing another scrapbook page...tomorrow will start another busy, busy week, but school will be out on Friday and then I can RELAX for a while.
