Summer, Lovely Summer

Did you know there are actually people who don't like summer?  Amazing!  I just can't believe it!!  Summer has always been my all time favorite.  Mostly because of two reasons:

1. I hate school.
2. I love being in the water.

This has been one of the best summers I can remember.   We were blessed early on by a city pool pass which we have taken advantage of.  It is so nice to let someone else maintain your pool.  I thought at first that I might not go much, but would drop off Ciara!  HA!!  Sometimes I tell her I might leave her at home, but I will be going!!  Really, we have gone so much and had so much fun.  Ciara is very spoiled by the lifeguards and gets away with more than she should.  They are so sweet to her.  I have watched her develop into a superb swimmer, seen her work hard at resolving conflicts and making new friends, and have seen her exude compassion of a person much more mature.  Who thought all that could happen at the pool?  I have toned up a little, developed my own exercise routine, and reaquainted myself with some dear friends.  I have also gotten a beautiful tan...if only it would last past September....

Yesterday we treated our lifeguards.  We took them brownies and I made them a special card.  I made it to look like C and I.  I love, love, love using punches to create things.  I used a combination of two peoples ideas.  One I found on www.splitcoaststampers.com and the other on http://blinkthinkink.blogspot.com/.  I combined ideas to do what I had in mind.  I am going to do similar cards at a party Thursday night.
