Heart to Heart Cookie Swap

Last night was the last night of our Heart to Heart women's ministry that we started in January.
Here is the cookie recipe that I made up for the swap. Enjoy!!

The “I’m too scared to cook because my house has been invaded by mice and I am scared that if I turn on the oven, the mice who are nesting in my oven insulation will get hot and run out into the kitchen” Cookies

1pkg. almond bark
1 cheap store bought oreos
1 pkg. nutter butters
some left over sprinkles from Valentine’s Day

Melt half the almond bark in a glass bowl in micro for about 3 minutes. Stir it up well. Drop cookie into almond bark. Wonder what it is that you are supposed to do next to get it out of the bowl. Grab a spoon and get it out and drop it on wax paper. Do this to all the oreos until you run out of almond bark. Melt some more almond bark and start over. Open the nutter butter package and realize that they are wafers, not the cute little peanut shaped cookies, so they will look pretty stupid dipped in almond bark. Dip one in the almond bark anyway to try it out. It’s yummy, so sneak another, then let your kids and friends eat the rest. Then you realize that none of your kids and friends like almond bark, so wonder if you have made the right choice of “no bake” cookies for the cookie swap. Maybe you should have risked turning the oven on.

Decide to use some pretty red sugar sprinkles to make cookies look festive instead of like white blobs. Sprinkle one plate full and set on cabinet to let dry. Let your daughter’s stupid gray cat that she adores jump up on to the cabinet right on top of plate and onto the cookies. Scream some bad words, yell at daughter to get the cat out of the house, and throw that plate of cookies in the trash. You are allergic anyway, but you let the stupid thing in cause he catches the mice. Find dead mouse in house while searching for platter. Wash dust off platter, cause you never use that fancy thing. Spend a lot of time trying to figure out how to arrange the cookies so it looks nice. Realize it won’t look nice, cause they are pretty ugly. Give up! Cover with plastic and stick on top of fridge. Surely that is safe from mice and kittens. Drown yourself in frito pie and strawberry fanta. Watch a funny movie to forget your troubles!!!
